A Call For Artists!

Toy Joy wants your art! This year's art show will take place at the United States Art Authority, Thursday, July 8, 7-midnight. For those who were not with us last year for our show at Moxie, the Toy Joy art show is a great chance to display (and possibly sell!) your artwork, plus a whole lot of fun! In addition to the artwork displayed by YOU local artists, Toy Joy will host a night a night of live music and festivities with drinks and snacks from your favorite local vendors! Here's a list of bands playing -

This show is open to all artists & creators who are inspired by Toy Joy and it's message of light hearted exploration. We are so excited to showcase the amazing artwork created by our community!

There is no limit on the number of submissions. All artwork should be kid friendly, and appropriate for a Toy Joy audience of all ages! Space will be limited, so please understand that submission does not guarantee inclusion in the art show.

Artwork is not limited to any specific medium- feel free to be creative! Please send images of all artwork being submitted to submissions@toyjoy.com along with a description and the dimensions. Please include a short biography of the artist with your submission. Digital submissions due by 6/21/2010.

TENT SALE MAY 1st

Hi Guys! It's time for another Toy Joy Tent Sale! It's our regular garage/rummage sale where items are marked down 50% or more! Many treasures and strange items can be found in amongst the mess. If you've never been before you can expect to find shelf worn items, crushed packages but perfectly fine toys, and many many broken bits for those fun craft projects! Come on out and bring a recycled shopper for an extra heavy discount!

Come join Toy Joy at the Mayfair Games Booth at Screenburn.

Feel free to settle down and play a round of Catan, or learn a new game with your new SXSW friends! Special freebies will be available for booth visitors, until supplies run out. This is a free event, and a great way to relax between sessions. We hope to see you all there! (Screenburn runs March 12 - 14, Fri 2 - 6, and Sat+Sun 12 - 6), located in the Austin Convention Center.

Tiny Rodys at Toy Joy!

Good news! We've got a limited supply of tiny Rody Ponies in stock at the moment. Better news! We'll be getting in a large quantity soon! For the moment we've only the colors you can see in the photos below. If you are interested in a tiny Rody pony call or email Toy Joy (Questions@ToyJoy.com) and we'll do our best to get one to you!

We've also have some really great Rody merchandise in the store as well!

Ready for Kite Fest 03/07/2010

Austin oldest festival is happening once again this year! Join us at Kite Fest from 10am-5pm on March 7th! Stop by the tent and check out some fun outdoor goodies! We've also got a massive collection of kites for the wicked winds you'll be experiencing! Look here -

Karuna Harris, age 9, gets an A+ in Toy Joy's book! Her project on important local community business was so outstanding we thought we'd share it!
